CMPOA Board Meeting Minutes May 9, 2012
The
meeting was called to order by President Dwight Storm at 7:06 pm at the home of Joe Steinbach. Present were Joe Steinbach,
Dwight Storm, Jay Haworth, Robyn Hall, Bob Engel, Darrel Del Duca, Doreen Smith, Annemarie Garber, and Jim Barnhill.
After
the opening prayer, the first order of business was approval of the April 11th meeting minutes.

One new household has joined the
Waste Management service. 122 households are now participating. The report was reviewed and approved.

Introduction of new
Board members
As part of an ongoing series of introductions,
Jay Haworth gave a five minute presentation introducing himself to the Board.
OLD BUSINESS
New Neighbor Baskets
Dwight and Cindy Storm delivered a New Neighbor Basket to Josh and
Joey Schilling at 5006 W. Hinsdale Circle.
5 Baskets have
been purchased and assembled for upcoming deliveries to new families. Each basket can be tailored to suit each new family.
Overall
condition and appearance of Columbine Manor
CMPOA Board
members approved a motion to undertake a neighborhood walk-through to identify possible safety issues and property maintenance
concerns.
Plant Sale May 19th
The deadline
to place plant orders with Darrel Del Duca is May 15th. Plants can be picked up May 19th at Darrel Del Duca's. Payment must
be made to Don Godi on the pickup date.
Rolloff Container/Metal Recycling May 19th
Board members will be available to facilitate proper loading of items from 8 am to 4 pm. Trash dumping
and recycling will be for CMPOA members only. Out-of-neighborhood dumpers will be disallowed.
Annual Picnic June
10th
Jay Haworth is chairing the event. Preparations
are under way and neighborhood volunteers are being recruited.
Review of homes for sale
Amy Zal's home, at 5138 W. Hinsdale Circle, is under contract.
The property at 5129 W. Fremont Ave. has been sold.
Hearing Aid Proposal
Dwight Storm has purchased a pair of hearing aids from Hearing Rehab.
He is currently testing their effectiveness during a 75 day transition/guarantee period. He has been working with Hearing
Rehab to offer hearing aids at discounted prices for CMPOA members. Discounts will range from $500 for top-tier aids to $200
on lower end models.
Acts of Kindness/AOK
Vice
President Robyn Hall will chair this new club for Columbine Manor kids. There will be activities and outings for kids that
will emphasize crafts and "old-fashioned" games. Suggested "Acts of Kindess" children will be performing for neighborhood
adults include bringing up newspapers and empty garbage cans to houses. The children's club will meet bi-weekly.

BUSINESS
Sectors
Each Board member's
sector of residents was clarified.
Board of Directors' business cards
Each Board member received a set of personalized business cards.
CMPOA By-Laws
Article 5 was read and reviewed. Any Board member missing more than three consecutive meetings
without due cause will be notified in writing, stating that they will need to give cause to the Board to remain a Board member.
2012
Directory
The next Manor Banner will include a call-out
for any neighbors interested in advertising their business in the back of the new Directory. Those interested should submit
a business card to Darrel Del Duca.
King Soopers Reward Program
The next Manor Banner will introduce this King Soopers gift card program that will benefit Wilder and Goddard's
PTOs.
Driveway Campaign
Research is under
way to investigate a group discount for driveway replacements for members of CMPOA in the neighborhood.
The next Board Meeting
will take place at Bob Engel's home on Wednesday, June 13th, at 7 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm.
