CMPOA Board Meeting Minutes September 12, 2012
 
The meeting was called to order by President Dwight Storm at 7:07 at the home of Doreen Smith. Present were Darrel DelDuca, Diane Lekic, Joe Wuest, Jay Haworth, Dwight Storm, Robyn Hall, Hiroo Shiba, Joe Steinbach, and Doreen Smith.
 
UPDATE OF JIM BARNHILL
Jim has been receiving weekly visits from neighbors. He is progressing well and will continue rehab to strengthen muscles.  Jim attended this month's mens' neighborhood breakfast.
 
After the opening prayer, the first order of business was to approve Aug. 8 and June 13 meeting minutes. August minutes were approved; June minutes are missing.
 
TRASH TREASURER'S REPORT
There are 122 CMPOA members participating in Waste Management's trash removal service.

INTRODUCTION OF BOARD MEMBER - ROBYN HALL
Robyn Hall gave an interesting and lively account of her personal history.
 
OLD BUSINESS
 
HOMES SOLD AND FOR SALE
5148 W. Hinsdale Circle has sold.
7204 S. Platte is still for sale. 
5019 W. Fremont Ave. is also still on the market.
 
WELCOME BASKET
Bob Engel will deliver a welcome basket to the new neighbors at 5148 W. Hinsdale Circle. 
 
CORRECTION TO 2012 CMPOA DIRECTORY
Joe Steinbach was incorrectly listed. The correct phone number is:  (303) 979-2672.
 
BLOCK PARTY/OKTOBERFEST PROGRESS REPORT
This year's party will be September 22, from 12 - 3 pm, at Joe and Liz Wuest's home.  Diane Lekic is committee chair and has made arrangements for food, beverages, rental equipment, music and decor. Robyn Hall will oversee games.  Board members will arrive at 11 am to set up for the event. 
 
YARD-OF-THE-MONTH RECIPIENTS
August's winners were Ernie and Linda Arellano, at 5080 W. Geddes Circle.  They received a $50.00 gift certificate to Home Depot.  Hiroo Shiba and Bob Engel will judge yards for the September award.
 
DRIVEWAY CAMPAIGN STATUS REPORT
Mac Mctintire is head of the driveway replacement project.  A good number of CMPOA members are participating - there will be six driveways replaced, 3 patios, and 3 sidewalk projects are slated.
 
CURB AND GUTTER REPAIRS
The county will be contacted shortly for needed repairs on Geddes Circle.  Contact any Board member for any other locations in need of repair.
 
THEFT OF ACCENT LIGHTS
Several accent lights have been stolen in the neighborhood.  The stop sign was also stolen at the corner of S. Platte Canyon and W. Hinsdale. 
 
NEW BUSINESS
 
CARDS FOR FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BIRTHS, ILLNESSES, DEATHS, ETC.
Doreen Smith will send out cards to neighbors to offer congratulations and condolences.
 
REVIEW OF BY-LAWS
Specific By-Laws were reviewed and discussed by Board members.
 
MANOR BANNER
The next Manor Banner will be published on November 15th.
A proposal was made for each Board member to write a brief description about themselves to be featured in future Manor Banners. 
 
Next month's meeting will be held at the home of Annemarie Garber on October 10th.
 
Meeting adjourned at 9:15.
