CMPOA
Board Meeting Minutes March 13, 2013
The meeting
was called to order at 7:11 at the home of Hiroo Shiba. Present were Annemarie
Garber, Hiroo Shiba, Robyn Hall, Bob Engel, Joe Steinbach, Darrel Del Duca, Jay Haworth, Diane Lekic, and Doreen Smith.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the February 6th Board meeting minutes.
CMPOA OFFICERS
The first
order of business was to nominate and elect a new President as well as to re-establish each officer position.
A motion
was made and seconded to nominate Jay Haworth as President. Jay accepted the
nomination and was voted the new President of the Association for a two-year term.
Robyn Hall
is returning as Vice President; she has one more year to serve in her term.
Darrel
Del Duca is beginning another new term as Treasurer.
Doreen
Smith is returning as Secretary; she has one more year in her term.
RECRUITMENT
OF NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Discussion
followed as to the best methods for recruitment of new Board members.
TREASURER’S
REPORT
Expenses
were reviewed; there are no outstanding checks at this time.
Total members
of CMPOA to date: 122.
TRASH TREASURER’S
REPORT
Total participants
in the Waste Management program to date: 122.
OLD BUSINESS
ANNUAL
MEETING/WINTER SOCIAL
Attendance at the February Annual Meeting/spaghetti dinner was estimated to be around 50 members. It was agreed that the magic show went well and seemed to go over really well with the children in attendance.
CHANGES
TO CMPOA BOARD
Dwight
Storm and Jim Barnhill are no longer CMPOA Board members.
A motion
was made and seconded to hold Jim Barnhill as an honorary member. Discussion of details was tabled until the next meeting.
SAFETY
ISSUES
There were
no new incidents involving coyotes to report.
NEW BUSINESS
NEWSLETTER
INPUT
A motion
was made and seconded for the Manor Banner to be published 4 times per year, to coincide with upcoming social events.
Each issue
will include invitations for new Board Members to join, and will provide a list of current Board members with their telephone
numbers.
Each issue
will include the whole years’ calendar of events.
PHONE TREES
A motion
was made and seconded to re-instate calling committees for upcoming events. Each
Board member will recruit a CMPOA member to make calls within their sector for upcoming events.

was tabled until next meeting. Each Board member’s sector is being slightly revised.

TO MANOR BANNER
The possibility
to switch the format to email instead of paper flyers was discussed. Discussion
was tabled.

The next
Board meeting will take place at the home of Annemarie Garber on April 10th.
The following
meeting will take place at the home of Doreen Smith on May 8th.

meeting will take place at the home of Diane Lekic on June 12th.
