CMPOA Board Meeting Minutes April 10, 2013
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm at the
home of Annemarie Garber. Present were: Annemarie Garber, Hiroo Shiba, Robyn
Hall, Bob Engel, Joe Steinbach, Darrel Del Duca, Jay Haworth, Diane Lekic, and Doreen Smith.
An introduction was provided by Jay Haworth, newly
elected President.
The March minutes were reviewed and approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The balance in our HOA account is $6,538.39. To date there are 126 members.
TRASH TREASURER’S REPORT
The balance in this account for Waste Management
services is $91.43. There are 125 participants in the Waste Management program.

UPDATE ON NEIGHBORS:
5132 W. Fremont Dr. is for sale.
5019 W. Fremont Ave. is for sale.
7396 S. Platte Canyon is vacant.
NEW NEIGHBOR BASKET
Jeffrey and Laura Gilbert have moved into 5129
W. Fremont Ave.; a welcome basket will be delivered by Darrel Del Duca.

BUSINESS
NEW HOUSING/RETAIL DEVELOPMENT PROPOSED
A development company is proposing a mixed apartment
community/retail development at the southeast corner of Platte Canyon and Mineral. They
are presenting an open forum April 17 from 5 – 7 pm in hopes of gaining area neighborhood support for the required zoning
update. Board member Darrel Del Duca will attend to represent Columbine Manor.
2013 BOARD MEMBER SECTORS
New sectors were proposed: each member will now have
14-15 households in their sectors.
MANOR BANNER NEWSLETTER
The deadline for stories is May 8th.
2013 EVENTS
SUMMER PICNIC
A motion was made and seconded to hire face painters
and caricature artists for entertainment at the event.
ROLL-OFF DUMPSTER
The dumpster will be available for disposal of unwanted
items on Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th. Volunteers
with good packing skills are needed.
SCRAP METAL DRIVE
The trailer will be situated next to the roll-off
dumpster for unwanted metal items.
FRONT ENTRANCE CLEANUP
Volunteers are needed for the cleanup, which will
be held from 9-11 am on Saturday, June 29th.
PLANT SALE
The date and location are still to be determined.
OKTOBERFEST
A discussion was held about the possibility of moving
the date from September 28th, to October 5th. Discussion
was tabled until further information is available.
YARD-OF-THE-MONTH
Parameters were set regarding the rules of the contest. Starting in May, each Board member will bring one or two candidates to the monthly
meeting. The contest will run in May, June, July, and August. Each month there
will be at least one winner- there could be two, depending upon the excellence of neighborhood lawns.
Next month’s meeting will be held at the home
of Doreen Smith on Wednesday, May 8th at 7 pm.
The following meeting will take place at the home
of Diane Lekic on Wednesday, June 12th at 7 pm.
