The meeting opened with prayer at 7:00 PM
In attendance were Darrel Del Duca, Dwight Storm, Jim Barnhill, Bob Engel,
Michael Derou, Chris and Kim Kahout, Joe Wuest and Diane Hicks.
June minutes were reviewed and approved as stood.
Treasury Report:
- Dwight handed out copies of the regular bank account, the trash account and the actual
budget.
- Motion was made to have budget report co-inside with the bank statement so as not
to have to have 2 sets of books. Motion was passed unanimously.
- After reviewing the budget for 2007-2008, it was decided to take $50 from National
Night Out and move it to Halloween. Motion was made and passed unanimously. Darrel will redo the budget and distribute
copies next meeting.
- Motion was made to approve the budget as it stood and it passed unanimously.
Old Business:
- The transition of the bank accounts to the new officer was completed
- All other old business was put on hold until next meeting for lack of time.
New Business:
- There needs to be changes/updates on the web site. We are all to look at it
and bring suggestions to the next meeting.
- Our mission statement was unanimously changed to, “Our mission is to promote
the interests of the Columbine Manor community”. It will be added to the web site.
- Darrel read the Roles And Responsibilities of all board members found on the web site.
- We will check to make sure the web address is in the Manor Banner. Some question
if Liz Wuest will be our editor. Joe will confirm.
- Diane distributed the new sectors. Michael is to give everyone the dues given and
not give in our new sectors so we can collect. It was agreed to give homebound neighbors stamped and addressed envelopes
to mail their dues if needed.
- There were 3 suggestions give to Dwight during the Annual Picnic. We will discuss
these suggestions at a later date.
- Put tires by sliding rocket in playground so little kids can use.
- Ask Denver Water to go on a monthly billing cycle for fixed income families.
- Like Denver, try to get noise abatement on Platte Canyon.
- We all need to volunteer for this years events.
Sept.-Block Party: Annemarie, Chris and Kim
- Motion was made that since we are not a religious or political group that Prayer should
be dropped from the beginning of our meetings. The motion passed 3-2. Prayer shall be dropped.
