CMHOA Meeting minutes for the 8/8/2007 board meeting.

Meeting opened at 7:15 PM

In attendance were Darrel Del Duca, Bob Engel, Chris Kahout, Joe Wuest, Candy Dixon and Diane Hicks.

July minutes were reviewed and approved with one exception.

Treasury Report:

  • Trash account has 119 people or $236.60.
  • 52 people have paid their dues compared to 124 in 2006.
  • Does this 52 include the 30 that paid already?
  • Bank balance is consistent with our books at $4531.10
  • Joe will take over Treasury duties for Michael in October.

Old Business:

  • No one missed National Night Out so we will take it off of our activity list.
  • Garage Sale did not do as well as last year.  Add did not get in the paper, people want us to do it on Friday and Saturday, have it earlier in the year and make signs more noticeable.  The board has decided to have the garage sale the weekend of May 31st and have it on Friday and Saturday.  Signs will be more noticeable.
  • Darrel looked into Denver Water billing us monthly so it would be easier to budget.  He got nowhere and we will not pursue it any longer.
  • We cannot tackle the noise abatement issue on Platte Canyon.  We cannot do it without all of the other neighborhoods on the road and we don’t think it would help anyway.
  • The October Fest will be on Sept. 29th at the Wuests home.
  • The Halloween Parade will be on Oct. 27th at 1 PM.
  • The Holiday Party will be at Columbine United Church on Dec. 15th from 6:30-8PM
  • The Valentines Day spaghetti diner will be at Columbine United Church on Feb.9th from 6-8PM
  • The Easter Party will be at the park on March 15th at 1PM, on the 16th if bad weather.
  • The Annual Picnic will be at the park on June 22nd from 1-4 PM
  •

New Business:

  • John & Sandy Carlock moved into the Cowherd's old house on Geddes Circle.
  • Manor Banner articles are due this week, schedule distributed.
  • There is frustration about weeds, sidewalk access and trash in people’s yards.  We as a board do not interfere with neighbors and their relationships, but we will put article in the Manor Banner concerning these issues.
  • Question came up about entrance maintenance again.  Should we hire someone to trim bushes and weed the rock?  We think we should be able to find someone to do it in the neighborhood, but we will table until next month.
  • Meeting will be at the Hicks home Sept. & Oct.

Meeting adjourned at 9:05 PM.

Respectfully submitted by Diane Hicks
