Meeting opened at 7:07 PM
In attendance were Darrel Del
Duca, Bob Engel, Kim Kahout, Annemarie Gerber, Candy Dixon, Jim Barnhill and Diane Hicks.
Nancy Petkus addressed the board
with some very deep concerns about the state of the neighborhood. This is not
a new subject for the board. She talked about the neighborhood being described
as “in decline” by a realtor. She, and others, are concerned about
the state of some of the properties and the effect they have on the rest of us. We
gratefully agreed that Nancy could take the initiative and put together a flyer for the Manor Banner. We can then follow up on those neighbors that may be in need of some help.
Motion was so moved unanimously.
August minutes were reviewed and approved as submitted.
Treasury Report:
- Trash account has 119
people or $236.60.
- Bank balance is consistent with our books at $4848.64
- 80 people have paid
their dues compared to 124 in 2006.
Old Business:
· Entry way cleanup - Jim Barnhill
has volunteered to get together a group of people to clean up the entryways this fall. We are going to add a spring and fall
entry clean-up days to the other scheduled events April 19th and August 9th
· Joe and Annemarie have gotten
everything set for the Oktoberfest. We will bring our own chairs and a few tables. There will be a fire truck, games, face painting, food and drinks. The board was unanimous that we should not provide alcoholic beverages at our events so that will not happen
this year.
· Halloween Parade and Winter
Festival are going along well. Still early to get worried.
· Candy and Bob will move the
Lawn of the month sign this week
New Business:
- Don’t forget the Manor
Banner articles.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM.
