Meeting opened at 7:05 PM

 

In attendance were Annemarie Garber, Joe Wuest, Michael Derou, Jim Barnhill, Bob Engel and Diane Hicks. 

Joe Wuest is acting President since Darrell and Candy are not in attendance.

 

November minutes approved as written.

 

Treasury Report:

• Trash ledger shows 120 participants.

• Bank balance is consistent with our books at $5,384.45 with $150.62 in outstanding checks to give us a real balance of $5233.83 as of November 31, 2007.
• 93 people have paid their dues we have 27 more members to go.

 

Old Business:

• Annemarie purchased and delivered 11 Poinsettias at a total of $44.00.  She had one left and the board agreed she should keep it for her hard work. 
• The holiday party is ready to go, still unsure about Santa.  Annemarie will ask her son.  Jim will have the calling tree put out a call to remind people.
• There are still 27 people that have not paid memberships.  Diane will send a letter and self-addresses/stamped envelope to those neighbors to help along the process.
• Web page:  Treasury misspelled, Chris’ name not listed under the board.  It seems empty on the bottom right.  We thought we could advertise upcoming events there.  It was a thought to put want ads in there as well.
• There is a missing Yard of the Months sign.  We do not seem to know where it is.  Keep eyes and ears open.

 

New Business:

• Need to look for new candidates for the board next year.
• Board decided unanimously that we would not add our website to Arapahoe county web site.  Could create solicitors, unwanted people in the neighborhood.  We see no need.
• Make sure the church is reserved for the Valentine’s dinner.  Menu is the same, have all neighbors bring deserts.
• Need to start collecting for Waste Management and 2008-2009 dues in February.
