Columbine Manor Property Owners Association
(CMPOA) meeting was called to order by president Darrel Del Duca at 7:05 pm at the home of Hiroo and Hannah Shiba.
Those present were Darrel Del Duca, Hiroo
Shiba, Hannah Shiba, LuAnn McGuire, Michael Derou, Annemarie Garber, and Joe Wuest.
Approval of September board minutes
was passed as first order of business with one name correction.
Treasurer’s report for September
was discussed by Joe W and approved by the board members.
Next the board discussed the successful
Block Party held on Saturday Sept 20, 2008 –kudos to Joe Wuest and
Michael Derou. Everyone enjoyed the food and games.
The directories have been delivered
in the neighborhood. Requesting everyone to keep updating the listing as we collect
information on some of our new neighbors.
The group discussed the Garden club and
if it should be revived. Previously, recipe exchanges, cookie exchanges, progressive
dinners, and get togethers were part of the fun. Any interest in the community?
New business included the initial
planning of the Holiday (Xmas) party to be held on December 6th from 6-10 pm. Several ideas were brainstormed for activities
and games. Hannah and Lu will be formalizing some of the plans prior to the next
board meeting. A special flyer will be needed as the party will happen before
the next Manor Banner is to be distributed.
Darrel requested we solicit more articles,
recipes, etc for the Manor Banner. Ideally, we would like a pool of articles
for Liz to select from to supplement the news.
We also discussed starting initial talks
related to the Waste management contract due in the first quarter of 2009. Darrel
took the action to call Waste Management.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm. Next meeting is scheduled for November 12th
at the home of Bob and LuAnn McGuire.
