The February 11, 2009 CMPOA board meeting was called to
order at the home of Darrel and Andrea Del Duca at 7:08 pm.
Attendees: Darrel
Del Duca, Jim Barnhill, Bob Engel, Hiroo Shiba, Joe Wuest, and LuAnn McGuire.
First order of business was approval of January minutes. Minutes were accepted by the board.
Joe briefed the board on the treasurer’s report. So far 117 have paid dues and 116 signed up for the Waste Management contract. Treasurer’s report was accepted.
Next, the final planning of the Winter Social on February
21st was discussed. Assignment of board members to tasks, menu, activities
and raffle were some of the items determined. Nominations and election of new
board members will be part of the official meeting. The phone tree will be activated
on the Winter Social. Hiroo Shiba will be procuring the raffle tickets for the
event.
The Waste Management contract and its terms were brought
up next. Darrel briefed the board members on the terms including the surcharge,
term, rates, etc. The board approved Darrel moving forward with sending the documentation
into Waste Management contact, Susan Van Dyke. The start date of the new contract
is March 1, 2009 with a 3 year term. Joe took an action to provide Darrell with
the list of households participating in the contract.
Proposed new budget was provided for review by the board. It will be presented at the Winter Social for formal approval.
Date was set for the Easter Egg Hunt as April 4th. Rain date is April 11th. Brief
discussion of the summer picnic menu was also brought up.
Darrel requested everyone bring forward any other neighborhood
ideas for events. LuAnn is checking into recycling event for electronics, etc.
Next meeting will be held at Bob Engel’s home on
March 11th.
