CMPOA Meeting minutes for the 8/12/2009 board meeting.

 

The August 12, 2009 CMPOA board meeting was called to order at the home of Joe and Judy Steinbach at 7:08 pm by Hiroo.
 
Attendees:  Hannah Shiba, Joe Steinbach, Joe Wuest, Hiroo Shiba, Mike Derou and LuAnn McGuire.

 

First order of business was approval of July minutes.  Minutes were accepted by the board with one modification.

 

Treasurer report for July was presented by Joe W. and accepted.

 

Next, Old Business items were discussed.  Oktoberfest will be held on September 19th from noon to 3 pm at the end of W. Geddes Circle.  Joe W brought up several items to address.   Mike offered to be the chef for the day and rest of board is chipping in to assist with rental pickup, food, tables, chairs, etc.
  
Recruitment of new board members was discussed as several members could retire in February.  Everyone agreed to talk to neighbors about possible candidates.
 
New Business included the yard of the month for August.    The team will coordinate pickup and delivery to the August award winner shortly.  
 
Group also discussed Dwight Storm’s idea about creation of list of available medical equipment for loan within the neighborhood.  Board will be getting with Dwight for more details of the concept.

 

August newsletter is being worked by Joe W while Darrel is out.  Hiroo also offered to be backup as publisher for the future. 

 

Roofing contractor joined our meeting with some excellent information on shingle types, working with insurance companies, etc.  Possible article for August newsletter. 

 

Short discussion on Holiday Party details including menu.  Hiroo is checking with Diane Hicks about renting church for December 12th. 

 

Next meeting will be held at Michael Derou’s home on September  9th.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm.
