CMPOA Meeting minutes for the 9/9/2009 board meeting.

 

The September 9th, 2009 CMPOA board meeting was called to order at the home of Michael and Lisa Derou  at 7:08 pm by Darrel.
 
Attendees:  Darrel Del Duca, Hiroo Shiba, Joe Steinbach, Joe Wuest, Dwight Storm, Michael Derou, Blaine Cleaver and LuAnn McGuire.

 

First order of business was approval of August minutes.  Minutes were accepted by the board as written.

 

Treasurer report for August was presented by Joe W. and accepted.

 

Next, final details for Oktoberfest party on September 19th from noon to 3 pm at the end of W. Geddes Circle were discussed.  Discussion of the food, rentals, games and prizes, street closure, Fire Department, etc.  Flyers were handed out to board members to distribute in the neighborhood. 

 

Metal recycling was discussed as wrapping up by September 26th.  We will utilize the call system to notify the neighborhood for any additional metal for recycling. 

 

Recruitment of new board members was discussed as several members could retire in February.  We have some potential candidates coming forward. 

 

Columbine Manor has a new neighbor who moved into the Knights’ home, Travis and Megan Hendricks.  Welcome new neighbor!

 

Short discussion on Holiday Party details including reserving of the church.  Hiroo has talked with the Hicks about renting the church for December 12th. 

 

New business was brought forward by guests. 

 

First, Blaine came forward with questions on how many neighbors have been having troubles with insurance companies following the recent hail damage.  It seems some companies have been more generous while others deny claims.  Blaine asked the board for assistance in getting letters from neighbors who have been successful with claims. 

 

Dwight Storm’s further discussed the creation of list of available medical equipment for loan within the neighborhood.  Possible inventory listing as well as caregiver experience to share with neighbors in need. 

Further discussion to follow on format and data collection.

 

Additionally, Dwight brought up potential CMPOA project related to security systems.  More details to follow after vendor discussion has occured. 

 

Next meeting will be held at LuAnn and Bob McGuire’s home at 5061 W Geddes Circle on October 14th.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
