The October 14th,
2009 CMPOA board meeting was called to order at the home of Darrel and Andrea Del Duca at 7:10pm by Darrel.
Attendees: Darrel
Del Duca, Hiroo Shiba, Joe Steinbach, Joe Wuest, Bob Engel and LuAnn McGuire.
First order of business was approval of September minutes. Minutes were accepted by the board as written.
Treasurer report for September was presented by Joe W.
and accepted.
Next, the board discussed the successful Oktoberfest party
held on September 19th. Good food, lots of activities and a visit
from the fire department highlighted the afternoon. Thanks to all who assisted
and enjoyed the party.
Metal recycling event was a success and $247.50 was added
to the treasury. Board discussed another recycling event in two years. Also, Darrel stressed the importance
of the board to bring forward any “new” ideas.
We have found a few recruits for CMPOA next term. Happy to see folks interested in the process!
Hiroo and the team discussed some of the details for the
Holiday party. Next meeting, the assignments will be handed
out for the party. LuAnn will provide Hiroo with previous event guidelines prior
to next meeting.
New board business:
Discussion of the budget and remaining items for 2009,
as of today we have spent less than the allocations. Christmas poinsettias were
discussed as well as possible children participation for the deliveries. Joe
S, Hiroo and LuAnn will collaborate on possible children activity.
Columbine Manor has a couple new neighbors; board discussed
the delivery of welcome baskets by Joe S and Joe W.
Manor Banner is still in need of articles – board
members need to supply more items of interest so Liz has a library to choose from.
Waste Management contract is nearing for year 2 of the
3 year contract. Discussed the timing and information for the flyer so residents
are aware of the cost and payment timing in 2010.
Next meeting will be held at LuAnn and Bob McGuire’s
home at 5061 W Geddes Circle on November
11th, 2009.
