Meeting minutes for 2010 Columbine Manor Home Owners Association annual meeting.

The February 13th, 2010 CMPOA annual meeting and winter social was called to order at the Columbine United Church by Darrel.  Bob Engel started the meeting with a prayer.

Attendees:  Hiroo Shiba, Darrel Del Duca,  Joe Wuest, Mike Derou, Bob Engel, Jim Barnhill and LuAnn McGuire.

First order of business was presenting the “State of the Manor” and the activities done throughout the year.  Special thanks were given to numerous folks supporting the board, neighborhood activities, website, and newspaper and just being a good neighbor!

An open item was brought to the attendees related to possible cleanup and beautification of the area between Columbine Manor and Columbine Knolls. Darrel will be attending a meeting on Tuesday to see what options such as grants, etc. which might be available to assist with the project.  Stay tuned for more information in 2010 on the topic.

Joe Wuest presented the treasurer’s report for 2009 budget and the anticipated budget for 2010.  Couple of items for 2010 includes 2 roll off trash containers and distribution of the directory.  Treasurer’s report was approved.

Nominations of new board members were brought up:  Mike Derou, Darrel Del Duca and Joe Wuest terms are expiring.  Darrel and Joe were renominated  as well as two new board members coming forward:  Robyn Hall and Mo Redmond!!   All four nominees were accepted.

Mike Derou was given a plaque as appreciation of his CMPOA service as “chef” for numerous board events – thanks Mike!

Changes to the bylaws was brought up and read by Jim Barnhill to the attendees.  Two changes were approved at the meeting:

1)      Elimination of the maximum number of CMPOA board members - bylaw limit was 9, now there is only a minimum of 7.

2)      Expenditure approval by the board was increased from $300 to $500 to allow more latitude for inflation and increased costs without a vote by the neighborhood.

Both modifications in full will be listed on the website for further reading by all.

Motion to adjourn was presented and accepted at 6:40 pm.

Everyone enjoyed the spaghetti dinner and raffle drawings for all.

Next meeting will be held at Darrel and Andrea Del Duca’s home on February 17th.

 Respectfully,

LuAnn McGuire
