New Business
- Robyn reported that
the north entrance flag has gotten tattered. Flag will be replaced and the old flag given to the Boy Scouts for proper
destruction.
- Robyn
reminded the board that Dillon Hall cuts lawns if anyone is interested in the service.
- Dumpsters
are slated for weekend of Friday, May 14th – Saturday, May 15th. Joe Wuest to contact
Darrel Del Duca if an arrangement with Waste Management has been made. The plan for this year is to also provide recycling
service at the same time. Preliminary volunteers to work the onsite supervision are Robyn Hall, Hiroo Shiba and Joe
Steinbach. Additional volunteers may be requested at a later time.
The board will
need to check with Chris Graves on availability of his trailer for recycling collections. A flyer will be needed to
advertise the availability of the roll-offs as the newsletter will not be scheduled for distribution until June, 2010.
Roll-offs are anticipated to be at the same location again this year.
- Joe Steinbach raised
concerns about several incidents in which a pet bull from the Hicks’ home was allowed to roam about freely within our
neighborhood. This reportedly had occurred four (4) times and had caused at least one incident in which the pet bull
attacked another dog in the neighborhood. The safety of our neighborhood is of concern—especially among young
kids and other pets. Robyn volunteered to contact Diane Hicks to try to have them be responsible for containing the
pet bull.
- Plant
Sale is slated for May 22. Don Godi to provide brochures later this week. Order for plants may be needed by the
second week of May.
- Entrance
Weed Control: Weeds are beginning to sprout on North and South-East entrances. Robyn Hall and Bob Engel volunteered
to spray weed killers.
- Summer
Picnic: Slated for June 13th, LuAnn McGuire to head this event. We are likely to use Snydes BBQ again
due to overwhelming positive response from last year’s summer picnic. Games: horseshoe throwing, ladder
ball, bean bag toss, water balloon and possible form of relay race.
- New CMPOA Directory:
Darrel Del Duca to head this effort. Joe Wuest reminded the board to check within each member’s assigned sector
for new information that can be updated on the directory, e.g., email addresses, business cards, phone numbers, etc.
- Yard
of the Month to begin in June, July and August. Bob Engel stated he has all the signs.
Next month’s
board meeting will be held at Gary and Mo Redmond’s residence on 7386 W. Platte Canyon Dr. Meeting adjourned
at approximately 8:40PM.
Respectfully yours,
Hiroo Shiba, Vice-President
