Meeting minutes for the 5/12/2010 board meeting.
The May 12th CMPOA
meeting commenced at approximately 7:10 PM at the Redmond home. Attendees were: Joe Wuest, Jim Barnhill, Darrel
Del Duca, Mo Redmond, Annemarie Garber, Bob Engel, Joe Steinbach, Hannah Shiba, and LuAnn McGuire.
Approval of minutes from
April was the first order of business. Darrel presented the board with the treasurer’s report. The
treasurer’s report was approved by the board. Darrel noted that the directory printing costs
will be approximately double but still within our guidelines.
Old Business
Waste Management Status: 121
members are participating with the trash program. Full payment has been sent to Waste Management.
Dumpster
has been scheduled for May 14th delivery. Volunteer watch schedule will be sent to
board members from Friday pm until dumpster is full and covered. Additionally, we have an open trailer
to capture any metal recycling items at same time. Both items will be located near Joe and Liz Wuest’s
home on Geddes Circle.
No updates on the pit bull discussion, defer until Robyn can report back to the board.
New
Business
Plant orders are due to Don Godi by May 18th .
Meeting is scheduled for May 18th to
further discuss the Columbine Manor/Knolls greenbelt project. Any ideas on preliminary design, please
forward to Darrel. Darrel will inform the local Manor residents who have graciously volunteered to
assist on the project after the meeting.
Summer Picnic slated for June 13th was
discussed in great detail. Permit, food, tables, coolers, canopies were discussed. We
will be using Scheid’s BBQ again this year. Games: horseshoe throwing, ladder ball, bean bag toss, water balloon
and possible form of relay race. Flyers will be coming out in the new Manor Banner as well as activating
phone tree to cover all neighbors.
New CMPOA Directory is getting proofed one more time before going to print. Darrel
discussed the format and layout of the new directory.
Yard of the Month to begin in June, July and
August. Bob Engel stated he has all the signs. Joe W, Lu M, Hiroo S will be working the June selection
right after holiday weekend. July selection will be done by Bob E, Annemarie G, and Jim B; August
selection will be done by Joe S, Robyn H, Mo R, and Darrel D.
Abandoned vehicle and trailer have
been removed from CMPOA entrances. Discussion on possible weeding date to clean our front entrances
was brought up by the group. More to follow.
Board adjourned at 8:30 pm, next meeting will
be on June 9th at the home of Hannah and Hiroo Shiba.
