CMPOA Meeting minutes for the 10/13/2010 board meeting.
October 13th CMPOA meeting commenced at approximately 7:08 PM at Champ’s restaurant. Attendees
were: Joe Wuest, Darrel Del Duca, Annemarie Garber, Robyn Hall, Jim Barnhill, Mo Redmond, Bob Engel, Hiroo Shiba, and
LuAnn McGuire.
Approval of minutes from September meeting was the first order of business. Darrel presented the board
with the treasurer’s report. The treasurer’s report was approved by the board.
Old Business
Block party was discussed.
Approximately 45 folks attended Oktoberfest on a great Saturday afternoon. Kids and adults enjoyed the food and
games. Party was deemed another successful event. Board discussed other ways to get increased attendance at our
events.
Recap of the dumpster weekend and coverage was brought
up. Thanks to all who assisted with the coverage and once again we filled it to the brim helping to clean the community.
Darrel updated the board on the costs at Fast Sign to acquire 4 new signs for all our
entrances. The board voted and decided to go with the nonreflective signs. Darrel is proceeding with the order.
Street number painting was
brought up as another fall project; however the board decided to table the event until spring.
New Business
Christmas party has been set for
Friday, December 3rd as Saturday nights were not available at the Columbine United Church. Start time will be 6:30 pm.
Annemarie brought up a special guest who will be able to join us. More details to be worked out at November’s
meeting.
A new activity for the neighborhood was discussed
and approved. Columbine Manor will have a Christmas lighting contest with gift certificates to the top 3 houses.
Recruitment of new board members was brought up as the February meeting is not far
away.
Board adjourned at 8:10 pm, next meeting will be on
November 10th at Darrel and Andrea Del Duca’s home, 7 pm.
