Minutes from the August 10, 2011 Columbine
Manor Property Association Board meeting
Those in attendance were Joe Wuest, Hiroo
Shiba, Joe Steinbach, Jim Barnhill, Bob Engel, Annmarie Garber, Dwight Storm and Darrel Del Duca.
Meeting Started at 7:05 pm
Dwight gave everyone an update on a proposal
to contact American Pickers and ask them if they would be interested in coming to our neighborhood to look over some of the
unique items many of the home owners in our area have. He also asked us if we (the Board) would like to include CMPOA as part
of his contact with American Pickers. Dwight then left the meeting and asked us to inform him of our vote. The vote was unanimous
to include the Manor in his discussion with American Pickers.
Minutes from July meeting were approved.
The
Treasures reports for July were approved and the Budget verses Actual figures were presented to the board.
Joe
Wuest advised everyone that we have a new Neighbor Rich Taylor who now lives at5108 West Geddes Circle.
Joe has delivered a welcome basket to them and signed Rich up with Waste Management and the CMPOA home owners association.
We now have 122 members in our association.
The Yard of the Month for August will go
the Mick and Alice Evens 5021 W. Geddes Cir.
Joe
and Darrel will give them the $50 gift card.
There was a discussion about the
Block Party to be held on West Geddes Avenue on September 24, 2011. Joe Wuest will reserve
the table and chairs for the event and Darrel will pick them up on the 24th.
Joe will also order the food. A flyer will be prepared and distributed before the Block Party. Everyone will be asked to bring
a side dish or desert to the Party.
The
date was established for the Annual Christmas Party that date will be December 2, 2011. Hiroo Shiba will contact the church
to see if that date is available and also check on the date of February 11, 2012 for our Annual meeting
and Winter social.
Bob Engel informed everyone of the passing
of Amy Zal and there will be a memorial for her on August 24, 2011 at the Bible Chapel
There was a discussion among the board
members about some important issues that are going on in the neighborhood. We will continue to monitor
the issues and take appropriate action if needed.
