Old Business
Xmas light contest: overwhelming success1
More people put up lights and decorations in neighborhood this year
Discussion to expand contest to cover different categories such as: Griswald award, Most Elegant, Most Vintage, Most Modern.  Further discussion to be held next October.
 
Xmas Party
Many new faces and lots of familiar ones - good turnout
Santa visit big hit, kids loved the gift bags; around 15 kids present
Discussion to rethink mix of pizzas next time: consensus: too many plain cheese pizzas. Next time have more pepperoni and/or veggie ones.
Kids' white elephant exhange the first one we have had - huge success
Ladies' decorations well-appreciated - looked great and saved the Association lots of money
 
Waste Management Update
Currently have received payment from 44 households
Feb. 1st  - all payments due
 
Annual Meeting/Winter Social
Sat. Feb. 11th 6 pm at the church
1/2 hour for annual meeting
2012 Budget to be presented
election of new board members
any by-law changes
spaghetti and salad dinner provided with residents bringing desserts
Raffles for children and adults - Jay will purchase gift certificates for these for places like Dairy Queen, Lowe's, possibly upscale restaurant for Super Prize
Darrel has tickets to use
Joe Wuest to put together digital "slideshow" using laptop
Hiroo will confirm the date with the church
CMPOA will drop off donation to church for use of space
 
Discussion of  2012 Expense Budget
Change from $200 to $400 for Entrances.  Discussion of ideas for West and South entrances - wood signage most affordable option.   Discussion of Main Entrances - wood shingles needing replacement.
Waiting for monies from Open Space to create gravel walkway where dirt strip is on West side of neighborhood
Change from $300 to $350 for block party - price of brauts has gone up
Change from $60 to $120 for Xmas lighting contest to accomodate new categories
Darrel to update expense budget. Bring any ideas for new categories to Darrel.

All submissions due Jan. 23rd.
Doreen to write up Xmas party
bring any news of your neighbors to Doreen if you would like to see a story printed - special achievements, unusual stories etc. for her to interview and write about for Banner
Recipe Corner will need recipes for each issue - for next Banner
